1Fort George Brewery
Julie and I had a really delicious pizza at the Fort George brewery in Astoria Oregon. As a bonus if you show your vaccination records they will give you a free six-pack of their IPA. BAM!

All right you uncultured troglodytes... What movie?
First so on our first day was the Oregon Film Museum. Had no idea so many movies were filmed here in this area... Including The Goonies! Neat stuff.
Second stop today was the Flavel House Museum. This guy pretty much ran the area and the mouth of the Columbia River. He knew how to help navigate the sandbars to keep from getting grounded in the river. Great information.
(Part 1) Fort Stevens was or third stop of the day. Love me some military history. You can feel what it must have been like to live and work here. Super neat. Oh, and did you know there was a Japanese submarine attack here in World War II? Me either.

Interesting stop. This beach has a ship under it with parts poking out. Oh yeah, it's like 52 degrees and Oregonians are telling BEACH DAY! Lots of people out. Wtf?
Hard to pass up a shot at ice cream. This is the Tillamook Creamery. It's was pretty good but Julie and I agreed the Ben and Jerry's in Vermont probably still holds the ice cream crown in our book.
Seeing good friends is like a bonus when you're on vacation. Great seeing you Tim and great meeting your step-pops. Already looking forward to seeing you later this year brother.
(Part 1) Today started with the Columbia River Maritime Museum. Very well put together and clear paths on where to go. That coupled with the reduced number of people and it was a great time. Would recommend you come to this if you make it here. I had no idea how many boats have wrecked coming in and out of the Columbia River.

The views at the Astoria Column we're fantastic! About 240 degrees of unobstructed view around the mountain. And the detailed art work on the column was a great surprise too. Pictures don't do this place justice.
In the infamous words of Vince Neil...
I'm on my waaaay, I'm on my waaaay home sweet hoooome!
We have a 3 hour layover in Denver so I though wearing my Kelce jersey was appropriate.
