Apparently Nebraska City has already defunded their Police department
4Arbor Lodge State Historical Park and Arboretum
Saturday's first stop on our Nebraska City adventure...Arbor Lodge. The Morton family (you know...like Morton salt) was interesting. Has a bowling alley in the basement.
5Arbor Day Farm
The last half of Saturday's Nebraska City adventure was the Arbor Day Farm Treetop Adventure. Yes, my daughter wigs out a little on these...much to my entertainment.
6Mayhew Cabin
We took a quick stop at Mayhew Cabin (a.k.a John Brown's Cave). This was part of the underground railroad. Neat, but due to some city budgetary issues and politics it's not open and may not reopen. Sad to see city issues let history fade.
7Missouri River Basin Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center
On the way out from Nebraska City we stopped by the Lewis and Clark center. Interesting...and walked off that breakfast we ate lol.
