Got to experience the Padong people of Thailand this afternoon. Also known as the Long Neck Karan people. Our tour guide Udom informed us that the ladies of this people originally put the metal on their necks to prevent tiger bites. Everyone was wonderful. Got to observe a dance, kids playing games and browse their local wares. Their tourism market took a hit during COVID so I felt compelled to buy something. I chose the table of what appeared to be the eldest of them. In return we took a photo together. Great and humbling experience.
